A quarter of IT professionals are considering quitting their job
Perkbox, the global rewards and benefits platform, has announced an exclusive partnership with the new online discounter, Boxsaver, as part of its commitment to help businesses better support their employees financially in the cost of living crisis. The partnership follows Perkbox’s recent research which found over a third (38%) of workers are spending over a quarter of their monthly income on food shopping. Boxsaver offers all shoppers discounts of at least 20% on the UK’s favourite food and cleaning products, compared to major supermarkets and shops - including Aldi and B&M. The discounter publishes full price comparisons on its website daily so customers can be confident its prices are cheaper than any others, even factoring in Nectar and Clubcard offers. The new partnership means Perkbox users can get an additional 10% off Boxsaver's already hugely reduced prices for favourite brands including Heinz, Kellogg's, Cadburys, Walkers and Robinsons. Despite inflation falling again this month, basic food costs are 30% more than they were two years ago. With food inflation running higher than average price rises and items on supermarket shelves unlikely to fall in cost anytime soon, employers need to find new ways to financially support workers, particularly when salary increases aren’t possible. In fact, employees see it as a business’s responsibility with Perkbox’s research revealing nearly three quarters (73%) of workers believe it is their employer’s responsibility to help ease cost of living pressures. Gautam Sahgal, CEO of Perkbox, said: “Businesses are well aware that the cost for basic food occupies an increasingly large proportion of people’s salaries and are looking for new and inventive ways to ease that financial burden. We’ve partnered with Boxsaver to add another defence to the business armoury as employers look to better support their workforce in the cost-of-living crisis. This exclusive partnership will give businesses the opportunity to directly impact the household costs of their employees. We want to ensure our customers have the tools they need to ensure they’re taking the best possible care of their people.” Peter Bohn, co-founder and CEO of Boxsaver, said: “We launched Boxsaver to make it much easier for more people to benefit from huge discounts on food and cleaning essentials without compromising on quality or shelf life, and this is our core driver for partnering with Perkbox. Together, we can deliver big online discounts of the UK’s favourite products to a wider demographic at a time when everyone is feeling the pinch, aligning the purpose of our two brands. I hope together we can impact thousands more households giving employees access to their favourite brands without the premium price tag.” Perkbox is focused on delivering rewards and benefits which provide meaningful support to employees during the cost-of-living crisis. In addition to this partnership, it has launched its ‘Super Saver Week’ promotion. Every month, Perkbox will boost discounts on selected perks like Boxsaver from its catalogue of over 4,000 deals and discounts, delivering even more value to its users.
