It’s March!

Just a few moths ago we were welcoming in 2017 (and hoping it wouldn’t be quite as, um, harrowing as 2016 – and here we are, staring at March – month of Employee Appreciation Day, and the world of Incentives, Motivation and Rewards is not standing still.

Trending Rewards –  It’s all about the shared experience right now and we have to say cooking is BACK. We are in an age of clean eating and Instagram, and this is definitely having an effect on the experiences people are interested in – think courgettes not cupcakes! As the months get warmer we are also predicting a rise in Glamping trips for team events, get your yurt booked in quick!

Trending HR and Reward Books – An Everyone Culture was our book of the month for January – please don’t miss out, but we are also recommending a copy of Time Mastery – take a look here – pleasingly, it’s a small read.

Trending Destination – Hamburg just keeps popping up as somewhere to visit and is recommended to us over and over as a business destination for meetings or incentives. Great scenery and buildings, a foodie paradise, easy to reach, well-connected. We can recommend.

Trending On Social: The rise of the ‘welcome pack’ and the aspirational desk for new employees is huge on LinkedIn right now. We recommend at least a balloon!

Trending Gifts: We spoke to Harrods who are seeing a huge rise in custom, quirky cufflinks as rewards – they are coming back!  Timepieces are also still going strong, but no mention of pampering. We have it on good authority that we can expect spa gift cards to be big this year – we will keep you posted!

Trending Music – Miss the 90’s and Elastica? Take a look at Big Moon – Formidable is our top track.
