Perkbox, the global rewards and benefits platform, has announced an exclusive partnership with the new online discounter, Boxsaver, as part of its commitment to help businesses better support their employees financially in the cost of living crisis. The partnership follows Perkbox’s recent research which found over a third (38%) of workers are spending over a quarter of their monthly income on food shopping. Boxsaver offers all shoppers discounts of at least 20% on the UK’s favourite food and cleaning products, compared to major supermarkets and shops - including Aldi and B&M. The discounter publishes full price comparisons on its website daily so customers can be confident its prices are cheaper than any others, even factoring in Nectar and Clubcard offers. The new partnership means Perkbox users can get an additional 10% off Boxsaver's already hugely reduced prices for favourite brands including Heinz, Kellogg's, Cadburys, Walkers and Robinsons. Despite inflation falling again this month, basic food costs are 30% more than they were two years ago. With food inflation running higher than average price rises and items on supermarket shelves unlikely to fall in cost anytime soon, employers need to find new ways to financially support workers, particularly when salary increases aren’t possible. In fact, employees see it as a business’s responsibility with Perkbox’s research revealing nearly three quarters (73%) of workers believe it is their employer’s responsibility to help ease cost of living pressures.
