IMA Europe appoint CEO of NGC Europe to Board

Andrew Johnson, CEO of National Gift Card Europe (NGC Europe), has been appointed to the Board of the Incentive Marketing Association Europe.

NGC Europe is a branch of the US-based company which specialises in the sales, marketing and fulfilment of gift cards and e-vouchers.  NGC offers a one stop gift card and digital shop to corporate customers, with fulfilment via proprietary systems for bulk, individual and real time API

Andrew was Director General of The UK Gift Card and Voucher Association (UKGCVA), (the UK trade body representing gift vouchers, gift cards and digital gifting) from 2006 to 2015. As well as managing the Association he was spokesperson for the industry, working with the media and the UK government.

In July 2015 Andrew was honored with the UKGCVA’s Lifetime Achievement Award and named to the organisation’s Hall of Fame by a vote of its members.

Andrew stated: ‘This is an exciting and innovative industry in which we work and it is a real privilege to join the IMA Europe board, working with other members to further shape and develop how our sector moves forward across Europe.

Johnson went onto say: ‘I have been impressed with how the IMA has been developed in our part of the world, this is down to the drive and enthusiasm of a dedicated and focused board, along with passionate members who work together for the greater good of the industry.  I am looking forward to working alongside the IMA Board members in Europe and to continue their great work.’

His detailed knowledge of the EU regulatory frameworks that govern the prepaid and gift card industries, combined with his established professional connections in the US make him an ideal addition to the IMA Europe Board.’
