Multi award-winning distributor of promotional merchandise, Outstanding Branding, is extremely pleased to announce that Managing Director Sarah Penn has been selected as one of the ASI (Advertising Speciality Institute) Counselor magazine’s ‘The Hot 25’ for 2016.

Published annually by America’s “largest media, marketing and education organization serving the advertising specialty industry”, Counselor is distributed to an influential audience of over 35,000 distributor companies in America. Reaching the five biggest markets, ‘The Hot 25’ by definition, lists the top 25 promotional merchandise professionals who are “shaking up the industry today and making it a unique, successful, challenging and innovative sector”.

The article rewards Penn on her strong-willed character as the author notes “it takes a certain kind of moxie to start your company in 2009, right in the middle of a recession, and in the UK no less, as Europe really took it on the chin economically…” – the sentiment of determination and overcoming any obstacle is one which reigns throughout the offices at Outstanding Branding each day.

In a country where in 2015 there were $21.5 billion industry sales, Penn’s inclusion for 2016 shows a real feat for a British entrepreneur as the individuals usually featured are based in America. This accolade further strengthens the company’s aim to not only establish a truly global supply chain to supplement their offering to their EMEA customer base, but to also found partnerships with distributors in the States in order to achieve their end goal of being able to provide globalisation to current and prospective clients. The vision of which both Penn and business partner Andy Thorne have been building towards since the company’s inception.

Sarah comments, “To have been voted into this hot list is a phenomenal honour – I’m overwhelmed and extremely proud to have even been considered.  I consider this to be an honour that reflects the endeavours and achievements of the whole company – all of #teamOB work so hard to build, maintain and enhance our reputation not just in the UK but also over the pond, so I thank the whole team for their support.”
