MetLife has appointed executive vice president James Reid to head its Global Employee Benefits (GEB) business, the company has announced. In that role, Reid will be responsible for accelerating GEB’s growth through partnerships with MetLife’s regional offices and growing relationships with financial institutions, brokers and consultants in the sector. Reid has more than 25 years of experience in health and employee benefits, as well as P&L ownership. He joined MetLife in 2012 and has held several leadership positions in the company’s US Group Benefits organisation.
